Hopefully we can have a competitive game against UK.

If we can keep the rebounding battle close, and knock down 3's then we may have a long shot to compete in this game.
We also can't turn the ball over 20 times.
I'd like to see the seniors Bjorn and Pickett step up on this stage and play well. It'd be especially nice if Nych Smith can continue his impressive play for this one.

This team is garbage. Came out of the half with their heads all the way up their a**es.
How embarrassing.
There was still a little hope they could bring it back from being down 14 going into the half, and now they're down 23 after like 2 minutes into the second half. Pitiful. PITIFUL.
National TV Sh*t show.
IDC if this team is #1 or #10 or whatever.

Don't know what to take away from this game. It was pretty bad overall. At least we won the second half 37-36?
-Pickett was again a huge liability turning the ball over (7 times. SEVEN.), and fouling too much.
-Nych Smith forced way too many drives/shots in the lane that just got swatted away. You have to recognize what you're going to be able to do and adjust. He did not.
-Broman just doesn't provide much of an offensive threat again
-Falden, Anumba, and Smith all drove the lane, got into the air, and had no where to go with the ball leading to wild passes and turnovers.
We have to stop doing stupid things. We just have to. How do we come out of the half and instantly turn the ball over? I also think the officials were pretty one-sided in this game. We shot 8 free throws to Kentuckys 24. We got 5 of those points, while Kentucky had 18.
-Why not throw Pupavac in under the basket and let him body up. Sure, he's going to have trouble but we're down 25 most of the game who cares at that point? We struggled with size the entire game, but won't for a second put our 6'10 guy in.
At least we shot well from 3? 46%
Again, Idk what to make of this game. It definitely was a lot worse than what the final score shows.

I'm glad we didn't quit playing and got the score down to make it look like a more competitive game. Zunic showed us he can get really hot in a hurry and even though I like Broman I think Zunic should get more of his minutes. We need to stop turning the ball over so much, maybe less dribble penetration would help. Overall the only thing that bothered me about this game was the refs one sided calls. As a whole we as Winthrop fans shouldn't be upset at this lost bc it was Kentucky, just glad they kept fighting and didn't pull a Connor McGregor and tap out.
