Even though this was a glorified scrimage, I was glad to see the hot shooting continue. It was good to finally see what Schumacher can potentially do for us offensively. Hopefully Anumba can keep playing like he is, bc that will be huge for us during conf play.

Honestly, no sure what to take from a game like this. Seems like a waste of time really. It's sad that we even placed any emphasis on matching Pfeiffers offensive style this game, when the emphasis should have been place on DEFENSE.
How do we give up 99 points to Pfeiffer? We looked very bad defensively, and should never give up 99 points to any team, under any circumstance, if we wan't to make it out of this conference.
Also, Keondre came out and knocked down shots offensively which was great, but watching him on defense he just seemed to be somewhat in a fog. I'll hopefully chalk that up as "first game" jitters? Idk, but perhaps that's the liability and why he hasn't touched the court against bigger opponents yet.
Overall, just a worthless 40 minutes. The only benefit is to get guys off the bench and the walk-ons some playing time.

WU likes to play fast, so not sure it was a case of Winthrop 'matching Pfeiffer's offensive style' as much as it was just a case of two teams that like to play fast getting to play each other. And giving up 99 points isn't that big of a deal when there are 100 possessions in a game (and when your offense scores 134). Pfeiffer shot 34.5% from two-point range and only 33.3% from three....they weren't shredding WU by any means...and once a game gets up to a 20-30 point margin, things did get a bit sloppier, but that is almost always the case in these games against non-D1 games. And yeah, you can't take too much out of it other than getting some bench guys some minutes, but I didn't think the defense was too much of an issue (not a defensive clinic by any means, but not as bad as the 99 points make it look, given the pace of the game).
