2 and 2 early on, not unexpected. Mercer was a tough win at home last year and won't be any easier this season. Hate that Anumba can't play but love having Lane back; been looking forward to watching him for 2 years. McMahon playing great (showed lots of maturity against AU last night), anxious to see more of Fleming Jr., Moore, and Harrison.
DJ who? Talford has been outstanding against larger opponents and/or double teams. This guy will be a double-double machine in the BSC, unless he's triple teamed.
Hope the guys have some sun and fun in Mexico next week as November closes out. Can't wait for payback against Coastal in early December, some more non-conference thru the month, then Big South play around New Years. I may have to break out my old "Crush Coastal" shirt from a decade ago.

This team is a dumpster fire right now with no identity, and a coach who just will never be the guy. Watching the games so far have been painful. We're losing to SoCon bottom feeders like Mercer? Cmon. Our defense is non-existent, and guys are way too careless with the ball on offense. There's no discipline. I mean, we were down 9 against Mercer with 30 seconds left, and there's seemingly no strategy from Prosser. We have Mcmahon driving to the basket out of control when we're down 9 with 30 seconds left? Do we not have any set plays for a deep look or quick shot? Idk man... I just think we're not going to be successful while Prosser is the coach. He brings 0 energy. Might be a great guy, but not sold on the coach. Please, prove me wrong and shut me up, but until then  |

two double digit losses. Radford loss seems worse than Longwood. Can't stop the dribble or rebound. Is this fixable this year, or will it have to be addressed in the portal/new recruits?
Went to Zone, but didn't seem to help
Well... escaped Campbell, but not High Point. Team has no depth. Don't see this season going down as one of the better, but could be worse. Not sure this team makes it past the first round of the big south tournament.

facing Charleston Southern, always give us trouble. The few fans that do attend will quit. Will probably be less than 500 in attendance with weather.
How did this happen? Did we have that many injuries?

2 wins vs the dregs of the conference. A sign of optimism? I don't know, I guess we'll see after Longwood at home Wednesday. I hope for a decent crowd but won't hold my breath.

Longwood lost to Charleston Southern in VA? Am I seeing that correctly? If so, they will be in a foul mood. Does anyone know if they had a rash of injuries?

Ok, took down Longwood. Great comeback. Tough stretch continues at Radford then at UNCA. By Wednesday night we'll know if the Eagles are among the frontrunners or also rans.

Tough loss to Radford, blown out at Asheville. Very disappointing; at this point unlikely to have a first round tournament bye. Only hope now is to get hot the first week of March and see what happens.
Edit: fantastic comeback but still a "L". Is there such a thing as a good loss? I don't know but maybe something to build on

OK, 2 W's in a row, good! Now need to take out Campbell to get that first round bye. We will be favored in our last 2, sure would be nice to win them and be streaking onto the tournament.

Otherwise they'll be the #6 and face Radford. Can't really rest starters. Only have 4-5 guys dressed out on the bench anyway most nights. If someone is banged up, then maybe have them rest, but the team is finally on a win streak. Might as well keep the rhythm going. |
