In reading other boards, there seems to be some interest in CAA fans about picking up Winthrop for a move to the CAA to help fill out a potential southern division.
What are your thoughts?

We might need to jump ship. Supposedly Hampton is heading to the Colonial next year.

Just read NC A&T was heading to the CAA. Makes sense as they have football. Queens College in Charlotte is reportedly looking to make the move do DI and will be a likely target. How long do we hold onto CSU and G-W. Big South is now down 2 football programs if A&T is actually leaving.

A&T becomes a member of the CAA on July 1, 2022 for all sports but football. They will play one more season in the BS in football, and join the CAA Football conference on July 1, 2023.
The CAA and CAA Football is actually two separate conferences, however, the CAA runs the football conference.

Thank you for the intell. If the boards are correct, once A&T officially leaves, Big South will have only 5 teams, leaving it without an automatic bid to FCS. Will be interesting to see how the football playing schools react.
