WU opens as -7.5 favorites in Vegas---tells you a lot about how Vegas views the teams since they last met (RU was a 3.5 favorite, meaning they saw the teams about even with it being at RU's place---they now clearly see Winthrop as the better team).
Will need to play much better than the C/D games we played against Campbell/Longwood. We have a few key guys that are in a bit of a offensive rut, Ferguson, Jones, Hale all have had off games lately shooting the ball. If they can get going we should win this going away, if not, it will be a grind.
Can basically secure the regular season championship tonight with a W. Hope we are ready to play.

We absolutely NEED production from the following guys: Hale, Ferguson, Jones Jr
We need better overall guard play from: Vaudrin, Jones Jr.
The guards need to take care of the ball better. Much better. Hale has been in a bit of a shooting slump, and Russ, while being in a slight shooting slump, has also struggled with his decision making.
Defensively, we have been pretty sloppy over the past few games, and that's not gonna fly tonight. We need to lock down and focus.

Great comeback, this was important for the team’s psyche to work the deficit down from 27 w/ 14:00 min left to just 2 with under a minute left. There is good that can be taken from this defeat.
Eagles came flying out the gate.... until the double T’s on each coach. Then Winthrop lost its mind, it’s energy, it’s defensive principles and basically got ran out of them gym until 14 min to go in 2nd half.
Couple of notes:
Great, LOUD crowd even when we were down, it was rocking and the comeback was deafening.
DJ got into some trouble w/ Kelsey and didn’t play any of the 2nd half. I hope whatever happened, it’s squashed before the next game b/c we will go as far as DJ takes us.
Chandler Vauldrin: Played better towards the end of the game, decision making is terrible at in opportune times though. He gets in the paint he needs to learn to shoot the 5-7 footer with his left hand, not his off hand. Also, work on your FT’s kid. And stop chirping at the refs, play ball.
Ferguson: Got bullied in this game by their big men. Needs to learn to block out. Also, gives too much space when his man is facing up to the basket. Josh we need you to be more AGGRESSIVE!
Russell Jones JR and Hunter Hale played really well in my opinion. Confidence and good decision making is what we need from both.
The Herald Newspaper: you did nothing to promote this game, sad and pathetic. Winthrop is Rock Hill’s University and it covers the bare minimum.
