This is less a post about the team, and more of a post about the fans.
I really hope they can pull some students into this game tonight, and create a desirable environment for a national TV event. It really drives me nuts how the student body is so dead at Winthrop. This team is rolling, and they should be out to support.
Hell, the arena even sells alcohol now. Take your pre-game to the coliseum.
On another note, I'm a bit concerned about community turnout tonight, considering most people have work on Friday. Hopefully they'll still come out in force as they have been.
It certainly would be nice to see both students and the community really get behind this team and make the coliseum a feared environment for other teams. It's such a boost to be able to have a great home court environment, and it's daunting for visiting opponents.
Let's go!!

I thought it may be low because of the hurricanes coming through.
Team played a little too jacked up tonight with the TV. I thought we were just tight/rusty/etc. Credit to Campbell for fighting hard too. Was hoping that would be an easy one with 3 games in 5 days but maybe we can make Saturday that.
Good teams win when they play bad games. That was tonight (at least offensively)--

Box score attendance was 1910, I don't know if that's tickets sold or actual bodies through the doors. I thought the turnout was about average, but considering the monsoon in progress, average was pretty good.
Longwood could be a real trap game with Radford coming to town Monday. Longwood has won 3 of 4 and according to their website they are "Red Hot". We'll see. How about we "just win, baby", come home, get some rest and get ready for what I'm hoping will be a great environment and win on Monday.
I'm not a twitter or facebook kind of guy--does Winthrop use any type of social media to publicize games to students or the public?
