Well, folks, this board has been up now about 2 years. I was hoping it would start catching on a little by now, but I don't think that the two or three that post periodically is enough to justify the board remaining open.

I didn't want to just close it without any notice or input from the folks that do visit, so I waited until the end of basketball season for the Eagles before considering the options. Here's your chance if any of you have anything to say about the board.

Should the board remain open? Is there hope for new posters? Tell me what you think.

I appreciate you giving this a try, but I gave up my board a few years ago because I wasn't able to get new people to join and the amount of regular contributors was decreasing each year. Eventually it felt like I was talking to myself, so I chose to create a Winthrop-related blog and a twitter account instead because those seemed to work better. I won't tell you whether you should keep it open or not, but these types of boards (with a few exceptions) just don't seem to be what people are looking for anymore....which is a shame because I do think there are times where this format works well, but only if you have enough people participating.

I don't want to shut it down, but unless folks post, why keep it open? Help me recruit some new members that will post and discuss Winthrop sports.

punisher: Winthrop Baseball is in need for a change at the top, nothing personal but Tom is not a fit, and with 6 or 7 of the teams in the conference above 200 RPI, this woefully underperforming situation calls for a move in what is a poor conference. May 1, 2022 18:35:11 GMT -5
