This board wasn't created until after the championship, but I think worth noting that I think this past year's team definitely has a claim to one of our all time best (and thus by default one of the Big South's all time best). With the resume the guys put together, the 13 seed, a competitive tourney game, I would only rank our 2007 (win in tourney) and 2006 teams as better (as our teams and the Big South). Probably a toss up with the 2008 squad but I'd give the nod to this team over that one.

Also of note, I believe we are still the only Big South team to ever get a seed better than 15, and how many times have we done it? 4 or 5 now?

Pretty impressive year.

Yeah, a very impressive season, and I think it will be remembered very well by WU fans, especially with Keon having the season that he did (and how it capped off such a great career). They did lose 3 conference games, but all of those losses were by 3 or fewer points...I just hope that the fan support and energy that the program had over the final month of the season, and into the Big South Tournament, continues into the future.

punisher: Winthrop Baseball is in need for a change at the top, nothing personal but Tom is not a fit, and with 6 or 7 of the teams in the conference above 200 RPI, this woefully underperforming situation calls for a move in what is a poor conference. May 1, 2022 18:35:11 GMT -5
