The Eagles are 6-6 at this point in the season. Two of the 6 wins are against non-DI teams, and the team is on a two game skid. We're about to play our third non-DI team of the season before conference games.
Anyone else disappointed at this point in the season?

DJ Burns Jr. is an absolute monster. He is in shape, playing more minutes, and scoring very efficiently.
Kelton Talford is taking steps forward, and emerging as very solid big. Like Burns, he is scoring efficiently in the paint.
Patrick Good is a great shooter and seems to be very comfortable taking and making big shots. Moving forward, the coaching staff needs to make a conscious effort to run plays for him and encourage him to shoot more frequently. More pointedly, he should be taking shots some significant portion of the shots that McMahon (46) and Corbin (78!!) are tossing up... The statistical comparison is stark- FG%: Good- 49%, McMahon- 35%, Corbin- 32% 3 PT%: Good- 44%, McMahon- 29%, Corbin- 30%
Corey Hightower is a pivotal member of this team. He has elite athleticism for the Big South, rebounds well, and offers both the ability to score outside (44% on 3's) and driving to the basket.
The coaches need to reinforce a strategy of pushing tempo to facilitate easy baskets and falling back on Burns/Talford in the half-court setting.
The Furman game is a best case scenario/outlier but shows that Michael Anumba can play a bigger role on offense. This team needs to establish efficient scoring outside of Burns/Talford and Good, Hightower and Anumba are up to the task.
I'm not disappointed as I feel like the Washington and Furman W's made it a solid non-conference result. That being said, there are a finite number of Burns/Winthrop seasons and the team needs to grow/develop in order to challenge for the NCAA tournament berth.
What do you guys think?
