From about the under 4:00 min in the first half until about the 12:00-13:00 minute mark in the second half, Winthrop DIDN’T ALLOW A POINT!
That just doesn’t happen. Winthrop’s D was suffocating. They were in Longwood’s jerseys and literally broke their spirit during that stretch. What a show, go Eagles!!

That was one of the most impressive defensive stretches I've ever seen...which followed a stretch where Longwood was carving WU up for about 6 minutes and made it a game. In the radio postgame, Coach Kelsey said that Brian Kloman was the one that suggested the Vaudrin/Falden/Anumba/King/Claxton lineup that closed most of the first half that really suffocated the Lancers.

I've run out of superlatives for this club, so much talent and so fun to watch; we are fortunate. Watching the game in person I wasn't keeping up with the stats, I didn't know how close Chandler was to another triple-double. Too bad he didn't get there.
Sunday can't get here soon enough.
