At High Point Thursday at 9 on ESPNU national tv. HPU is currently in 7th, but if things go well for them the rest of the regular season they could conceivably climb up to 4th or 5th. Of course there's also the incentive of playing the hated 1st place Winthrop Eagles.
Not related to HPU, but WU announced 2/16 that a limited number of tickets will be sold for the 2 Hampton games next Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as women's hoops and volleyball. Tickets available to Eagle Club members starting tonight (Wednesday) and to the general public in a day or 2; don't know about students/alumni. Go Eagles!

GW just took down Radford, therefore congratulations to the 2020-2021 Big South Conference regular season champion Winthrop Eagles!
Spoiler: we were going to be champions anyway but now it's official even if we lose our final 4 since we hold the tie breaker over RU.

Burns looking very svelte compared to earlier in season; I like the Kelsey fitness plan. His spin moves seemed particularly quick tonight and several times he did a great job of passing back out after getting doubled. Good to see Arms playing again.
To me this was a real good win; not very pretty (too close) but every opponent is bringing their best game now to try get themselves ready for the tournament and to try to knock off the king of the hill.

20-1..... that’s awesome! If they aren’t ranked in the AP top 25 Monday, then the voters don’t know basketball...they belong and have earned it.
Hat tip to Dave Friedman and Mike Pacheco. They always do such a great job, Winthrop is lucky to have them.
Vaudrin played like dog s*#t in the first half, but he turned it around and that’s what good players do. Proud of him. Corbin is a deadly assassin and Talford is Dennis Rodman in a Winthrop jersey.
It’s very rare to have such a deep bench. Go Eagles!
