We our ranked #2 in the mid major poll behind Gonzaga. Which in my mind makes us the #1 mid major team of the land, even though the Zags are in a mid major conf I don't consider there program mid major anymore.

Still ranked #2 in the mid-major poll on 1/4/21, but lost some points to #3 12-0 Drake from the MVC. No biggie. Furman is #4, I guess when WU kicked their butts it was considered a good loss for them. We are, however #39 in the NCAA Basketball Net Rankings. Nice. Freidman on the radio was saying this ranking is a big deal when it comes to tournament selection time. Ahead of UNC, UVA, Indiana, many other blue bloods.
I was hoping we'd get mentioned in the AP top 25 under "other teams receiving votes". Not this week; just win baby and there will be more recognition.

That's it for me, no more discussing rankings. Net Rankings #30 something was lucky to get past #330 something today.

I wasn't going to discuss in this thread any more but I just can't help it. In the AP top 25 today WU received 2 votes in the " Others receiving votes"section. Nice, but it means that the Eagles will now
have a bigger target on their backs.
