Every site I've looked at has us as a 16 seed facing Dayton in the 1st round. I think we should be a 14 seed, and hopefully don't have to play the Dayton freight train in the 1st round.

If no upsets happen in other tournaments, then a 16 could happen...I think it will end up with WU settling on a 15 seed. I think a 14 would take a lot of upsets in a lot of tournaments.

yahoo sports had Winthrop as a #16 seed in Spokane playing Gonzaga. Hoping for some upsets.

ESPN sez 16 seed playing Kansas in Indianapolis. There's no way to really predict until all the midmajor conference tournaments finish this week.
Last night during the 1st half of the ETSU/Wofford game ESPN was trying to promote ETSU as an at-large if they lost to Wofford. This turned out to be a moot point since ETSU won handily. Anyway, ESPN listed ETSU's resume builder wins as LSU on the road and Big South champ Winthrop. So we got that going for us, being among other team's best wins.

My stomach dropped when I heard this news. I instantly thought of Hunter and Josh, and all of other senior student athletes in similar scenarios. I especially feel bad for Hunter, who won't get the chance to experience the NCAA Tournament.
The athletes dedicate their lives to reach this point. All of the blood, sweat, and tears that go into making this moment, and then to have that ripped away is devastating.
I feel for the guys... this is tough to digest as a fan and former athlete. I think the NCAA should extend eligibility to guys like Hunter and Josh for 1 year to accommodate for this extremely rare scenario. It would only be right.
