Where are you getting the WatchESPN info from?
This game isn't going to be broadcast on WatchESPN or ESPN+. It only appears to be on Fox Sports Southwest/Fox Sport South/Carolinas

Just another incredibly tough game to watch in the first half so far.
We have no offense, and struggle to score.
We have also had huge defensive lapses where we are not playing helpside and falling asleep on rotations.
Sigh

Crap, should have been a shot clock violation before Ferguson picked up his 2nd

Nice finish to half. I'm dating myself but Jamie Dixon's hair looks like Yvonne De Carlo on the Munsters.

I feel like I'm going to lose my mind watching this team play.
This team has so so so many issues. I'm not sure what Kelsey has been doing all season. We're getting worse, not better.
If we're better than .500 in conference play I'd be surprised. We do not have a single soul on this team who can create their own shot, and break down the defense. There's no one I feel comfortable with the ball in their hands with 10 seconds left. No one.
I honestly feel bad for Saint Mary's having to lose a game against us.

I'd wager my nest egg this team finishes in the top 3 in the Big South. I'd wager a good bit that they will win it, or tie with Radford at the least.
Not having Russ is hurting right now. While he may not be the MVP of the team, he's the one guy with a skillset we can't replicate with anyone else (tough on ball defense for small quick guards, easily can penetrate opposing defense, adds another shooter, etc, etc, etc)---it's no surprise 2 games with him out we haven't quite adjusted to not having him. On that note---has anyone heard when he will be back?
I still don't believe Ferguson (a career 75% shooter from the line) is going to shoot 40% from the line all year this year. I don't believe Falden, a good 3 pt shooter, is going to shoot 10-20% from 3 all year.
We need to get everyone healthy for a few games (which hasn't happened all season) and get a couple easy wins and get in a groove. SIU and Elon should afford that opportunity before hitting conference play.
I do think Kelsey needs to figure out what he wants to be with this team. One game we run and gun, another we play purely halfcourt. One game he wants to iso Vaudrin and Burns, the next he wants to play a perimeter game and shoot all 3s. That's the biggest issue to me so far with his coaching (aside from the normal crap the bed end of game stuff he pulls that never works).

SIU and Elon should afford that opportunity, but so should Tennessee Tech...
Also, there are some glaring issues regardless of when we're all healthy or not:
-Careless with the ball, and too many unforced turnovers. You just can't have it. -Offensive Identity (which you mention above) - Lack of ability to score

I don't disagree with you but you also have to understand context. So far we've played one of the toughest schedules in the country, the 25th toughest per KenPom. We are also playing with basically an entire team new to D1 basketball save for 3-4 guys.
What's super encouraging is this team can physically and athletically match up against anyone in the country. We are winning rebounding battles against P5 teams---- It's been about 10-15 years since we could say that. We are turning people over (we didn't turn anyone over last year---basically ever). We are playing pretty good D (at least in stretches) relying on a lot of freshmen, which is pretty unusual to see. That stuff should all translate to conference play and if we are doing it against the 25th best schedule I think we are going to be pretty dominant rebounding/turnovers/defensively against the likes of UNCA/Chuck South and the like. I really only see Radford and maybe GW as potential competition for the title as long as we can stay relatively healthy.
Offensively----Usually young guys/freshmen guys can progress shooting wise and to the speed of the game over the course of the year and offenses refine themselves, it's not a surprise that blending basically a whole new team together is taking some time in that aspect. Also---Ferg isn't going to shoot 40% all season from the line, and Falden is going to make some threes. When Russ comes back, King and Corbin will probably see some reduced (if not bench most of the time) minutes and I think that will help some as they look a little further out from making consistent contributions.
Not to mention how good this team can be next year and beyond if everyone sticks around.
