Not terribly surprising....that would be in his backyard, so he would basically be back at home. But if the money is close to the same, it locks him in for 4-5 years at the same salary....that seems like not a smart move. People take jobs for different reasons though.....hard to believe he turned down the 800K for the 300 here with UMASS.
Not sure how I feel about it, on one hand he's kept us as the premier program in the league and got our second highest seed ever in the dance, on the other, it feels like he slipped this last season and his in game coaching keeps us from being a great (not just good) program.
