We started off very very slow, but in the 2nd half we were able to right our wrongs of the 1st half. Glad we started our conf play 1-0, now on to Campbell.

First half was our worst half of the year. Lots of just wide open three ball looks that we just missed or rimmed out. That wasn’t the concerning part as that will happen every now and again, however we were also super sloppy with the ball and making tons of unforced turnovers. Not having Smith and broman contributed to that, but still. If we don’t make the dance, I bet that will be the culprit. Big kudos to awad for his performance as we might have scored single digits without him.
Nice turnaround in the second half.....but going to be a lot harder to rebound From a deficit like that against teams not names unca or upstate. Hope Broman and nych are back against Campbell. We will need them wspecially since it’s on the road.
Really like anumba and how he stuffs the stat sheet. As his shooting and comfort level comes along, he will be a first team all conference guy.

This was an AWFUL game. Awful. We should never be in the position we were in, down by 15, to arguably the WORST team in Division 1.
This team has not improved on any of the things they struggled with all throughout non-conference play. The main thing being, that they are too careless with the ball. Unforced turnovers are KILLING this team.
The only positive, and wild thing that came out of this game, was that we scored 61 points in the second half. 61. That's freakish, but also a testament to how bad Asheville really is. It's nice to see we can do it with two guys on the bench that typically start.
Another observation - Charles Falden should be starting over Anumba. Anumba should be better as he matures, but right now he's struggling creating his shot, can't shoot from the outside at all, and turns the ball over a lot. Don't get me wrong, he does some intangibles which are great, but he shouldn't be starting over Charles Falden at this point.
Also, Adam Pickett continues his carelessness into regular season play. He does some incredible things on the court, and gets to the rim very well, but he nullifies some great plays with unforced turnovers. He needs to take care of the ball. He's gotta be averaging about 5 turnover per game. This is his year to really shine, and I think he can, but he needs to show he can take care of the ball and make smart decisions.
Big game at Campbell, Away, on National TV Thursday. Let's hope we come out of the gates running, because we can't drop 19 in the first half against Clemmons and company.
